Mid way through spring and what better way to enjoy the sunshine than with delightful sounds of Gypsy Swing. String quartet Continental Drift bring together the sounds of Europe in a enjoyable musical odyssey that shifts seamlessly from Russian to Greek to ………. well anywhere in Europe. From classical sonnets to traditional folk to the festive music of the gypsy’s, Continental Drift will entertain you in their individual way. Cheeky and naughty songs, tragic ballads, comical ditties and songs of nation hood all get interwoven by these troubadours. Be ready to be surprised and delighted as they shift countries and styles as they move from a winters tale to spring bolero. With the huge Sunbury oval for children to run around on and with SFSC creating a menu & wines to fit, where else would you want to spend this brilliant Spring afternoon

Loosen all the strings, especially the G and D. Lift left foot of the bridge and slide the round “BUG” underneath, flat side down, so that the wire is at the rear (tailpiece) end.
Make sure the foot of the bridge is totally on the bridge, then tighten up the strings.
Tune up! The bridge should be between the nicks in the f holes and tilted slightly back.
Pass the plug inclosed in the velcro under the strings between the bridge and the tail piece.

You can now fold the long part of the velcro over and press it onto the plug part, cut off any extra velcro.
Your lead has two jacks, the little jack is pushed into the Bug’s plug (hold the plug steady as you push it in).
Now wind some of the lead around your chin rest or your shoulder rest, so that it can’t be pulled out by accident.
The big plug goes into your Amp. or Mixer. TURN DOWN FIRST!! Bass and Treble should be flat.
Gradually turn up while plucking a string.

Click image to view Ant Bug correctly installed.

You will soon find the ideal volume, sometimes a little Bass boost or Treble cut is necessary to get a perfect tone. Tone can be enhaced by using those littlepedals that guitarist have, (digital delay is fun) but most amps and PAs have reverb and thats more than enough.

INCLUDED is your “ANTBUG”, A 3 Metre Lead and Self adhesive velcro for your Violin Bridge.
