The violin has a reputation of being a very difficult instrument to play but with practice and patience it doesn’t take long to play simple melodies and then the fun begins.
The most important element is to encourage love of music through playing interesting, fun and sometimes challenging material.
Students choose what style of playing they want to study.
Classical Folk Jazz
Students may study AMEB (Australian Music Examination Board) material and sit for exams or play simply for pleasure.
Lessons are on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening 3.30 to 8 PM and are 30 minutes. Lessons are booked in 8 week blocks within the school term. Fees are $25 per lesson payable in advance per 8 week block ($200).
Young students must be accompanied by an adult.
There is an annual concert and from time to time students perform at a local retirement home.
